Annual Reports

2019 Annual Report

The Success Foundation operates on a calendar year ending on December 31st. Each year, following the completion of its financial review, an Annual Report is prepared, detailing the key activities and financial results from the year.

Success Builds Success

It has been an exciting year for The Success Foundation and our Board of Directors. We have been busy at work helping District 6 with numerous projects. One in particular is the Advanced Manufacturing Classroom at Greeley Central High School that was completely for the 2019-20 school year. This space is allowing students to learn the technical skills needed to be successful in the advanced manufacturing industry which is one of the largest industries in our community. This classroom was made possible through mill levy override funds, the City of Greeley, and a $200,000 grant from the Daniels Fund which The Success Foundation helped to secure. This was a great, collaborative project and we hope to be a part of similar projects in the future that will prepare our students for college and career success.

In addition to the above, we enjoyed some other “firsts” in 2019. We started the year off with our First Annual Success in 6 Awards where we honored the wonderful work of our District 6 staff. There is so much to celebrate and we are honored to be able to host such a great event. SmartLabs were introduced thanks to our generous donors. SmartLabs allow student to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and media arts through applied technology and project-based learning. Two labs are currently operating at one elementar and one K-8 school. We will partner with the district to expand this opportunity to more students over the next 5 years. We are also proud to continue to support 21st Century Education Grants and host our Breakfast and Ride4Success which have allowed us to get where we are today. I am proud of our Board and staff who have worked tirelessly throughout the year supporting the work of our great foundation. We are lucky to have devoted volunteers and employees who make everything possible!

As I look to 2020, I am excited to work with our new board members to construct a long term vision and strategic plan for The Success Foundation. We have a great group of new board members joining us and i am looking forward to hearing from them and what ideas they have for our foundation.

Your continued support of The Success Foundation is what allows us to help future generations of children in our school district. Many thanks to all of you for keeping The Success Foundation as part of your giving and helping us make our community the best it can be!

With Gratitude,
Steve LaForest
