Nominations for the 2021 Success in 6 Awards are open from October 19 – November 8, 2020. Only staff members in Greeley-Evans School District 6 are eligible. Anyone can submit a nomination.

The Educator of the Year Award recognizes outstanding educators in Greeley-Evans School District 6. The Success Foundation encourages the nomination of at least one Educator of the Year nominee from each school, preferably to be selected by a committee including school leadership, parents, and students. The Educator of the Year nomination is open, however, to anyone who would like to nominate a deserving District 6 educator.

Who is Eligible:
• All classroom teachers
• Specials teachers (art, physical education, library, technology, etc.)
• Special education
• Gifted and talented
• Interventionists
• Certified language development teachers
• Certified technical education teachers
• Nominee MUST be a full-time employee in District 6 and teach at least 4 hours every school day
• Nominee MUST have 4 years or more of full-time teaching experience in District 6

To be nominated for the Educator of the Year, several considerations may be used including, but not limited to, the following:

• Demonstrates the ability to inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn
• Demonstrates a strong ability to foster excellence in education evidenced by ongoing contributions to the improvement of student learning and the learning environment
• Exhibits positive cooperative skills with students, parents, colleagues, and administration

 

The Leadership Award recognizes outstanding Administrative, Professional, and Technical staff in Greeley-Evans school District 6. The Success Foundation encourages nomination from district staff members, parents, students, and community members.

Who is Eligible:
• Principals
• Assistant Principals
• Deans
• Other Administrative/Professional/Technical staff

To be nominated for the Leadership Award, several consideration may be used including, but not limited to, the following:

• Demonstrate exceptional leadership
• Demonstrates ability to create positive and motivating culture among school/department
• Contributes to the overall success of education in District 6
• Demonstrates a strong ability to foster excellence in education evidenced by ongoing contributions to staff development, innovation, the improvement of student learning and the learning environment

The Heart & Soul Award recognizes outstanding Classified Staff and Specialized Service Professionals in Greeley-Evans School District 6. The Success Foundation encourages nominations from district staff members, parents, students and community members.

Who is Eligible:
• All Classified Staff
• All Specialized Service Professionals (nurses, physical/occupational therapists, counselors, speech language pathologists, social workers, psychologists, audiologists, orientation and mobility specialists).

To be nominated for the Heart & Soul Award, several consideration may be used including, but not limited to, the following:

• Demonstrate ongoing and exemplary performance of responsibilities contributing significantly to the success of District 6 students, programs, projects, and/or services
• Demonstrate leadership and high quality work that contributes to the overall welfare or education of students and/or employees
• Exhibit positive cooperative skills with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.

The Rookie of the Year Award recognizes outstanding educators who are new to Greeley-Evans School District 6. The Success Foundation encourages nominations from district staff members, parents, students, and community members.

Who is Eligible:
• All classroom teachers
• Specials teachers (art, physical education, library, technology, etc.)
• Special Education
• Gifted and talented

• Nominee must have 3 years or less of work experience in District 6.

To be nominated for Rookie of the Year, several considerations may be used including, but not limited to, the following:

• Demonstrate a strong ability to foster excellence in education evidenced by ongoing contributions to the improvement of student learning and the learning environment
• Exhibit positive cooperative skills with students, parents, colleagues, and administration
• Involvement in school and/or community outside of the classroom
