Members from the Success Foundation and Greeley-Evans School District 6 were invited to observe one of our grant recipients at Centennial Elementary School. Sara Brooks requested a grant to build on to her OSMO Kits. OSMO is a series of digital learning tools that focus on the “four c’s” of 21st century learning: Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, and Critical Thinking. It is developed for a wide span of grade levels and includes lessons in handwriting, spelling, reading, geography, art, and STEM.
With this grant, Centennial was able to expand OSMO to Kindergarten through 2nd grade. It is primarily being used in their after school program. Students rotate through stations that include several different learning activities. While we were visiting, students were competing with each other on how quickly they could crack a riddle and spell the answer. It was clear they were having a great time while learning.
Thank you for inviting us into your classroom!
