Support The Success Foundation this Holiday Season

It’s hard to believe 2019 is coming to a close. The Success Foundation has had an amazing year thanks to YOU, our generous donors!  Here are some of the highlights:

– Seventeen 21st Century Education Grants in the amount of $33,093 were awarded.  Exceptional experiences and unique learning opportunities are being made available through our grant program.
– The Success Foundation and District 6 partnered to bring the first SmartLabs to our students!  Two labs are currently operating at Martinez Elementary and McAuliffe STEM Academy and The Success Foundation contributed $100,000 to this project. Our goal is to help fund 2-3 labs per year over the next 4 years to expand this opportunity to more students. What’s a SmartLab?
– Gifts and grants in the amount of $187,510.25 were directed to support specific projects, programs and schools, including internship/pre-apprenticeship opportunities, post-secondary enrollment support, and unpaid meal balances, to name a few.
– The Success Foundation and District 6 Communications hosted the 1st Annual Success In 6 Awards!  It was a fun evening where we celebrated the many successes District 6 is experiencing and recognized our educators, administrators, and classified staff with special awards.  We look forward to hosting the event again in 2020!

With the holidays just around the corner, we hope you’ll consider supporting The Success Foundation. Here are some of the ways you can donate:

Colorado Gives Day

Colorado Gives Day is on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, but donations can be scheduled starting on November 1st. The Success Foundation has been participating in Colorado Gives Day since 2016 where over $5,000 was raised from 24 donors. This year, we’re raising that goal to $9,000 – that’s $1,000 a year since inception! Help us reach our goal – DONATE HERE!

IRA Charitable Contributions

Adults 70 1/2 and older have the opportunity to support nonprofits through IRA Contributions. IRS rules require adults who are 70½ or older to take minimum distributions (RMDs) each year from their tax-deferred retirement accounts. Although withdrawals for personal spending are subject to income tax, charitable distributions are not. Individuals can direct up to $100,000 per year from their IRA to a qualified charity.
