Innovative Learning Grant Application

The goal of The Success Foundation’s Innovative Learning Grant Program is to provide opportunities for staff to develop/advance projects and programs that incorporate Colorado State Academic Standards in innovative and creative ways. The overarching goal of the Innovative Learning Grant program is to increase student success and engagement in District 6 Schools. Projects/Programs must incorporate standards from at least one of the nine Colorado Academic Standard Areas: Visual and Performing Arts, Comprehensive Health and Physical Education, Computer Science, Mathematics, Reading, Writing and Communicating, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages.

Has the project in this grant proposal been approved by your Principal/Supervisor?

Yes

Generally, Innovative learning Grants are awarded in amounts up to $2,500. Should a project/program require funding in excess of $2,500, applicants will be required to submit a supplemental narrative and budget detailing why the additional funds are being requested and how these monies would be used.

PLEASE NOTE: Any funding request that exceeds $2,500 would be considered when possible, but all Innovative Learning Grant applications should have a base budget that does not exceed $2,500. Any funds not spent by May 31st at the end of the school year in which grant was awarded must be returned to The Success Foundation.

Your Project

Provide an overview of your project and explain why you are excited about it. (300 words max)

Please identify the Colorado Academic Standards your project will address; include the wording, not just the number. You must connect at least one standard to this project. (150 words max)

Provide at least 3 examples of why this project is innovative. For example, are you using resources you have but in a new way that requires more funding? Are you asking for resources you do not have to use in a new way? Are you combining 2 or more standards and looking for ways these areas support each other? In essence, why is project NOT just a request for supplies/experiences? (400 words max)

What student outcomes do you expect (list at least three)? For each outcome, please describe how you will assess student success. What specifically will you look for as indicators that outcomes are being achieved (can be quantitative and/or qualitative measures). Finally, how will you, as the teacher, use the information learned to inform your own future teaching? (400 word max)

The Success Foundation prefers to fund projects that impact more than one classroom. How might your project impact other classes in your grade level, in your school community or in District 6 on a broader scale even if this is in subsequent years? (300 word max)
