For a period of seventeen years, Mary Pagano was the Library
Assistant for Billie Martinez Elementary School.  She helped nurture the
many students she met in the library.  She was born and raised in
rural Alaska and of Native heritage.  She went on to receive a
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Fort Lewis College in
Durango, Colorado.  She strongly believed in pursuing good reading
skills as a way to get ahead in the world.  She instilled that belief
in her students.  Thank you for helping Mary's passion live on with your donation.  Funds raised will support literacy programs at Billie Martinez Elementary and Salida del Sol Academy.
